The Islands
Foster City, California
FFA introduced the “tuck under” configuration to mass housing in this medium-density condominium development. The bright colors of this complex make it an intentionally strong presence against the dark, nondescript buildings of the surroundings. A seacoast atmosphere is created through the use of materials - white stucco and blue tile roofs.
