Chabot Observatory & Science Center

The center was designed as a replacement for an historic observatory built in the 1920’s. The purpose of this multi-building complex, in addition to providing celestial observation capabilities, is to provide teacher training in the sciences, educational facilities for primary and secondary education students, and educational facilities for the general public. Facilities include a Physics and Chemistry Lab, a Bio-Lab, a Discovery Lab, an EnviroLab, a Computer Lab, a Planetarium, a domed Science Theater and other educational resources.
